Welcome to Xclipit ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at xclipit.com and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Xclipit is a software-as-a-service platform that allows users to transform YouTube videos into short-form clips optimized for sharing on X (Twitter). The Service analyzes video transcripts, generates clips, and suggests accompanying tweets.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at team@xclipit.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Xclipit offers paid subscription plans at $9, $29, and $59 per month.
• New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

Because Xclipit provides immediate access to digital services, refunds are generally not offered once a billing cycle has begun. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at team@xclipit.com within 7 days and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Process content you do not have the right to use (e.g., videos you are not authorized to clip).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Service.
• Resell or redistribute Service output without authorization.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

• Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., YouTube URLs, custom text). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service.
• Generated Output: Clips and tweets generated by the Service are tools for your use. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service, X's Terms, and applicable copyright law.
• Our IP: The Service, its design, code, branding, and documentation are owned by Xclipit and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Third-Party Services

Xclipit integrates with third-party platforms including YouTube, X (Twitter), Stripe, and Supabase. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or changes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xclipit and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Xclipit and its owner from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

• You may close your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (liability, indemnification, IP) will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
